The rollercoaster marriage between Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole, and his pop star wife Cheryl Cole, seems to be heading to the dogs – quite literally. After Ashley’s much publicised extra marital activities, Cheryl has finally done what many thought she should have done long ago and said adios to Ashley. This has left one problem however, who gets the dogs?

Girls Aloud singer and X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole has repeatedly stated in interviews recently that the most important things in her life are her two pet Chihuahuas, Buster and Coco. The problem is that Ashley also loves the two little dogs, meaning the couple could have a struggle on their hands deciding who gets to keep the dogs.

One of the worst parts of going on holiday for any dog owner is leaving your beloved dog behind. Sadly, the realities of trying to take your dog with you when you fly are very troublesome, which is why one dog owner tried to smuggle his Chihuahua through airport security at Dublin airport.

The dog was concealed in a handbag (as Chihuahuas tend to be these days) which was then put through the airport scanner. Airport officials believed the small shape inside the handbag to be a stuffed toy, but on closer inspection found that it was a live dog – albeit a very small one.

A five legged Chihuahua puppy called Lilly has had a successful operation to become a four legged and happy puppy.

The little dog is only seven weeks old and vets in New York removed her extra limb in an operation that lasted ninety minutes.

One lucky little Chihuahua made a miraculous recovery after she was stepped on by her best friend, Clydesdale horse weighing 900 kilos.

Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke may be in line for an Oscar for his performance in ‘The Wrestler’, but he’s more concerned at the moment about he pet Chihuaha, Loki. Loki died recently, aged seventeen-years-old, peacefully in his sleep, and Mickey Rourke is deeply affected by the loss of his beloved dog.

Rourke took Loki everywhere with him, even to the Venice Film Festival, where Loki walked up the red carpet.

Rourke spoke about Loki’s death:

Loki fell asleep peacefully in my arms.

Loki is deeply missed but with me in spirit.
