Tina and Chandi make it through to BGT final

Chandi, the amazing dancing dog, is looking to follow in the paw steps of Dangerous Dave and win a talent show. Dave won the BBC’s search for Toto, where he was up against thousands of other dogs, but Chandi is up against other forms of talent in this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent.

Last night Chandi danced her way into the final with a twinkle pawed rendition of ‘Me and My Shadow’, where she followed every move that owner Tina made. Chandi even held the umbrella, and wrapped her paws around Tina’s leg on cue. Despite being up against two all girl dancing groups, a singing doorman and a boyband with real boys in it, Chandi triumphed to win her heat and take her place in Saturday’s live final.

Judge, and all round creator of everything, Simon Cowell commented on Chandi, who is a rescue dog:

“I love her. She is adorable. It shows you how important it is to love a dog because a dog will love you back.”

Simon then asked if Chandi could return to the ballet routine that made her famous in the first heat – but owner Tina said she wanted to do something new if she made it through. We’ll wait to see what that could be this Saturday.

The boy band Connected also made it to the live final after the judges picked them ahead of the singing doorman, Neil Fullard. The winner of the live final will get to perform at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, and pick up a cool £100,000 – Chandi could buy a lot of dog food with that!
