Your dog could be a YouTube star

A two year old Labrador-cross has become YouTube’s latest video star this week and even made the news in the Telegraph.

I’m sure everyone who has owned a puppy or young dog has, at some point, been enthralled and delighted at watching the dog react to things like seeing their own image in mirrored wardrobes, hearing a dog on the television or other such fun but not every dog finds such fame as this one.

This particular two year old Labrador-cross, named Emma, has had 200,000 hits on her YouTube video as viewers worldwide watch in great amusement as Emma watches video footage of the family’s ginger cat Sugar on a laptop.  The dog just cannot understand how Sugar is both in the room and on the laptop at the same time.

The video was filmed by the dog’s 12 year old owner, Jennifer Barnes from North Carolina as she tried out her new video camera.

Jennifer was amazed at the video’s success and commented:

“I think that it is amazing that it has got so many views.  When I first posted it up, being a video of my dog of all things, I didn’t think that it was going to get many views at all.  So the fact that it has almost reached 200,000 views is insane to me. While recording the video I thought that Emma’s reaction to it was hilarious.

“She does things like that sometimes, but I’ve never really been able to catch it and have her continue doing it for so long.  And the fact that she actually went over to see Sugar amazed me and my parents. Sugar and Emma get along well. They mostly just put up with each other, but occasionally Emma will wander over to Sugar and give her a kiss.  The footage on the laptop of Sugar had been taken the night before as a test video for my video camera.”

Emma certainly does look perplexed in the video:
