Dog show to be held by Greyhound charity

If you’re anywhere near Larhall Leisure Centre in Hamilton, Scotland, tomorrow you might be interested to know about the Fun Dog Show being held by the Greyhound Awareness League. The event takes place on Sunday, between 12:00 noon and 4:00pm.

They’re hoping all kinds of dogs will attend the show, not just greyhounds, so if you’re taking your dog for a walk and want somewhere to go, you can pop down to the leisure centre and help support the greyhound charity.

The dog show is charging £2 for entry, and £5 if you have multiple dogs. They’ve assured everyone that no matter how many dogs you take to the show, you’ll be charged a maximum of £5.

The co-ordinator, Joyce MacDonald, stated:

Micky Gavin from Real Radio will be judging one of the dog show rings and as a greyhound devotee he is well-qualified for the job.

Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about owning a greyhound, so come and meet the homeless hounds and be amazed at how gentle and affectionate greyhounds are.
