Emma Watson to play a dog in new music video
Hollywood starlet Emma Watson, best known for playing Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, is to play a dog in her next production – for her boyfriend’s band. Emma will star alongside her boyfriend, George Craig, in the music video for his band’s next single. Craig’s band, One Night Only, will be shooting a new video for their single ‘Say You Don’t Want It’, and the video will feature the real-life couple on a whirlwind romance in New York, as a pair of dogs.
The video for the single is said to be a homage to the Disney movie, Lady and the Tramp. The pair will be seen running in and out of famous New York stores, being chased out by store owners and finally catching a glimpse of themselves in a window that reveals they’re really dogs. Emma of course will be a well groomed pedigree dog, whereas George will be a streetwise mongrel.
There is even a scene where Emma is thrown a pretzel by a New York snack seller, and George licks her face as she catches it – just like a dog.
The video then has a sad ending as Emma’s owners turn up and drive away with her, leaving the mongrel on his own to mourn the loss of his girlfriend.
Emma Watson commented on the video:
“It’s kind of an ode to ‘Lady and the Tramp’. George is Tramp and I’m Lady”
Emma also commented on her love of George’s music:
“When I was in the States, George was taking me through a lot of his music as he was recording it. I couldn’t believe (how good the music was). I’m a big fan. Everything he did was amazing.”
