New dog contraception launched

Some dog owners make a point of searching for the best stud dogs for their bitches so that they can produce good, strong puppies. The best stud dogs, the ones that have champion lineage, cost a pretty penny for their studding services.

However, there is a flipside to this too. Some dog owners, particularly dog breeders, who own several stud dogs and bitches often find it difficult to police their dogs’ sexual activities. This can result in unplanned pregnancy, and even inter breed relations – which produces mixed breed puppies.

condogA new product was launched today that addresses this problem. The new product is called the ‘Condog’ because it acts as a condom for dogs. When a stud dog needs to ‘release some tension’ without the side effect of your bitch getting pregnant or if your dog is prone to wandering off, you simply strap the Condog over your dog’s studding tool, and allow him to do what he does best – safe in the knowledge that you won’t be looking after any unwanted puppies a few months later.

Professor Andrew Dewdney, inventor of the Condog, stated:

There are other dog contraceptive products on the market, including a ‘dog pill’, but research showed that many breeders were forgetting to give the pill daily – resulting in unwanted pregnancies. Our product means that stud dogs are 100% guaranteed not to sire any puppies without the breeder’s knowledge.

The Condog goes on sale at the end of this month and is expected to retail at around £9.99 for a pack of three.

Do you think the Condog will catch on, and would you advise that your stud dog uses one?
