Working orange & white KC registered Cocker Spaniel for stud.
A gorgeous dog who is well put together and a good size. KC registered 'Fly Golden Boy' (Merlot) is from excellent field champion lines being by the popular 'FTAW Ardchonnel Faodalach' and with FTCH lines from both parents.
Merlot has a fabulous temperament which is reflected in his offspring. He is excellent around other dogs and adores people. He is a fantastic beating dog who works the ground beautifully and is exceptionally trainable.
Merlot has be put to springer and cocker spaniels and is proven with three litters, producing gorgeous babies and collecting wonderful reviews from owners which are available as references. Merlot is for AI only due to a missing front leg after an incident with the postman at the tender age of 12 weeks old. He has produced litters naturally but in the interest of consistency for potential clients AI is the best option, (this is up for discussion depending on circumstance).
He does not let this get in the way of things and it is a credit to his temperament he survived such a traumatic experience and came out the other side to grow into such a wonderful dog.
Merlot is fully DNA checked AMS, FN and prcd-PRA clear.
Merlot's frozen sperm is held at Elite Kennel Fertility in Whitchurch Shropshire. The arrangement is simple; once stud fee is paid to me I contact Elite Kennels to release the straws for a covering to you, you then liase directly with Elite Kennels as to your covering preference (whether you are looking for AI at the clinic or shipping to your vet). AI is best planned in advance. Given there are extra costs involved in AI I strive to keep Merlot's stud fees affordable at £230 per dose.
