Hollywood star shares her dog’s to-do list

American A-Lister Jennifer Garner was recently interviewed on a dog-focused social media channel (WeRateDogs), answering questions on her beloved golden retriever, Birdie. The interviewer commented that the actress, known for her roles in “Alias” and “Elektra”, had celebrated her 50th birthday by completing 50 personal goals and asked if Birdie had nine ambitions to achieve before she reached that age.

According to Garner, who consulted Birdie and then spoke on her behalf, the retriever has multiple aims. These included taking a trip to Paris, skydiving, singing onstage at New York’s Metropolitan Opera House and going on a date with Major, the dog of 46th US President Joe Biden.

The actress also mentioned that Birdie would like to read more books with children. Followers of Garner’s social media will already be familiar with her beloved canine companion due to her ongoing series called “Books with Birdie”. Shared regularly online, the segments include the Hollywood star reading children’s literature out loud to Birdie.

The golden retriever is also a therapy dog, and recently was awarded a promotion that will see her work at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.

Birdie joined Garner’s family when Violet Anne, her eldest daughter, turned 10. Violet Anne had asked for a dog when she was two and Garner promised when she reached her tenth birthday, they would add a four-legged member to the fold. Violet Anne never forgot, and Garner made good on her promise. Now, Birdie is an important member of the family.
