Dog insurance offered by ASDA
You might not have realised it, but you can pick up your dog insurance these days with your weekly shopping at ASDA. ASDA financial services have just re-launched their pet insurance product, and are aiming to become one of the biggest pet insurers in the country. ASDA are already one of the top providers of pet products, but with this new pet insurance product, they’re targeting a top three spot for insurance.
ASDA’s new launch is for three new dog insurance products, labelled the ‘value’, the ‘standard’ and the ‘superior’ product. The pet insurance products all offer cover for death and serious illness, and even offer bereavement counselling for dog owners when the worst happens.
ASDA’s Gideon Ingham, the head of Insurance and Savings, stated:
Pet insurance is close to our hearts as it was the first product that ASDA Financial Services launched. In a marketplace where it can be difficult to find the right policy, we were keen to ensure we got it right which we believe we have. We are confident that consumers will respond positively to the pricing and benefits available, and a top three position is very achievable.
Many pet owners already see ASDA as the place to go thanks to our famous pet weeks and great value of food, toys and pet accessories. Now they can be sure that they will find the same value, quality and service in our insurance products.
Some of the features included with ASDA’s dog insurance products are premiums as low as £4.65 per month and a 10% discount for dog owners who have two or more dogs to insure.
