Celebrated member of the Friends cast and Scream saga, Courteney Cox, recently took to social media to showcase one of her dogs in action. Owner of two King Charles Spaniels, Cox frequently shares reels and stories of Lily and Bear on her Instagram account where they have become celebrities in their own right.
The recent video showed Cox, a friend and Lily participating in a viral challenge on IG called “Hands In” (also known as “Paws In”). The idea of the social media trend is for an owner and friend to place their hands on top of each other’s and see if their pet will follow suit.
The well-received clip had followers of Cox in stitches as the star showed a series of owners completing the challenge successfully to The Turtles’ tune “Happy Together”, before adding her own experience on the end of the clip. Instead of putting a paw on top, Lily the spaniel showed her own style and ducked underneath the outstretched arms.
Commenting on Lily’s effort, Cox commented:
“She’s cute. She’s got that going for her.”
Many other stars of the screen have attempted to take on the social media challenge, including Alias and Elektra actress Jennifer Garner with her dog Birdie, a certified therapy dog. Unlike Cox and Lily, Garner and her golden retriever managed to ace the challenge first time, although Garner admitted she didn’t have as much luck when she tried it with her new puppy.
A dog owner since the early 80s, after convincing his parents to buy a Yorkshire terrier named Sadie, Darren created Dream Dogs so dog owners could find the best dog related information on the Internet.
