Choose nutritious food for your puppy

If you are a new owner of a puppy it can be confusing when it comes to choosing the best food for your puppy.

A puppy requires the best ingredients in their food. The best food to buy is the ones which contain vitamins and minerals allowing him to grow up into an adult.

Good food helps a puppy grow up with strong and healthy muscles and bones.

When checking tinned products or packets have a read about the amount of protein, fats and carbohydrates listed on the manufacturers labels.

The first ingredient on a label is the one which is the main ingredient. Don’t forget to take into account the smaller ingredients.
Choose pet food which clearly states for puppies as manufacturers mix more vitamins into puppy food.

When you feed your puppy keep a pet diary of the number of treats you feed him as it all contributes to his daily allowance of food.
Remember to include treats even if some of those treats are given as part of your puppy training.

It is at this stage in your puppy’s life you can guide him to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
