Gemma Atkinson supports guide dogs for the blind

Actress Gemma Atkinson has lent her support for Guide Dogs for the Blind, raising money for the dog charity at the premier for a new Disney movie in Manchester. Gemma attended the premier of ‘Bolt’ in Manchester, where she was blindfolded and led along by a guide dog. In doing so, Gemma helped raise £400 for the animal charity.

Gemma commented on the fund raising stunt:

It is an amazing job that the guide dogs do and I felt confident and did not feel vulnerable at all.

Gemma was joined by Ellis Hollins from soap opera Hollyoaks, and one of the new breed of Gladiators, Panther, who also helped raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Guide Dogs for the Blind helps to provide guide dogs for partially sighted and blind people, and has been doing so since 1934. The charity is completed funded on donations, and backing from celebrities like Gemma Atkinson is essential to help raise their profile and keep them doing the good work for the blind.
