Justin Theroux, Hollywood actor and star of Mulholland Drive, recently took his best four-legged friend as his plus one for the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event in New York. The adorable pair were snapped walking down the red carpet together.
The CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event is a special televised show to honour those who make an exceptional difference in their communities. Justin Theroux was invited to the event and decided to bring his rescue dog Kuma with him as his plus one and to join him for the evening’s dinner at his table.
The pair also took to the stage to present fellow dog lover Carie Broecker with her award for work with the Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, an organisation that helps those who cannot look after their dogs due to illness or old age.
The actor posted pictures of himself and Kuma on Instagram following the event and praised the award winner:
“Kuma and I were so honored to present a HERO award to real life HERO Carie Broecker and her incredible organization @peace_of_mind_dog_rescue for the tireless work they do for senior dogs and senior people.”
Justin recently celebrated 4 years with his rescue pup, having saved her from a shelter back in 2018. The pair have been almost inseparable over the past 4 years and he has several Instagram highlights dedicated to her.
The actor also regularly encourages people to adopt rather than shop via his Instagram and considers himself lucky to be Kuma’s owner.
A dog owner since the early 80s, after convincing his parents to buy a Yorkshire terrier named Sadie, Darren created Dream Dogs so dog owners could find the best dog related information on the Internet.
