Some dogs have all the luck, and some dogs have none. Jody the bearded collie is one of life’s unlucky dogs. Years ago she was hit by a car and had to have one of her legs amputated, and she recently spent forty-eight hours trapped in barbed wire on a fence by a railway line, unable to free herself.
The poor dog was stuck on the fence and was only freed when she was spotted by a passenger on a train that went past. The passenger notified railway workers at Garve station, who then freed the poor dog.
Jody was then taken to the vets in Conon Bridge, where she made a full recovery.
Jody was owned by an elderly woman who couldn’t cope with looking after her anymore. She has asked Munlochy Animal Aid if they can re-home Jody, as she needs a lot of looking after.
Hopefully Jody will find someone who can take care of her.
