February 14 is just around the corner and while most of us will be surprising loved ones and receiving gifts from admirers, many dogs around the United Kingdom will still be desperately seeking out a home – something being addressed by a dog charity.
To show unwanted dogs that they deserve to be loved, the Jenny Green Dog Rescue is launching a dog campaign to make a difference, called ‘Love Us, Love Our Dogs’.
The charity, which is based in Catton, North Yorkshire and four other locations, will be working hard in the run-up to Valentine’s Day in a bid to find suitable, loving homes for more than 150 dogs that have either been abandoned by their previous owners or have been handed in to the Jenny Green Dog Rescue centre due to neglect. It is not just a new home that these dogs are searching for, but also a kind gesture, and this is why Catherine Foster, who manages the centre’s fundraising, is requesting donations of dog treats and toys.
Every donation will help the campaign to progress and will surely improve the moods of every canine at the centre. People helping with the ‘Love Us, Love Our Dogs’ campaign are hoping that the people who donate goods may bond with some of the dogs and consider adopting them. Since 1961, the Jenny Green Dog Rescue charity has been rescuing and rehoming dogs and those who want to help it succeed in its latest quest can visit the charity’s website or call the centre directly on 01845 567456.
